Hi,

As far as i can tell all photo's can be accessed in any language. So even if you upload on the french version it should be available on the english url i use as well.

Just install it and see if your userid lists any public albums (as the app does not download private ones).

Let me know it it works!

Hi,

I think this means that you have some problems with the localization (which also translates the filename pattern).

Can you mail me the PicasaDownloader.ini file and any *.resource files found in the directory ‘%appdata%\PicasaDownloader’ and the userid you try to download.

Then I can  perhaps find out what goess wrong.

Hi,

You should just type ’%appdata%\PicasaDownloader’ (without quotes) in the start menu’s run dialog or use it as parameter for a cd command at the command prompt (so cd %appdata%\PicasaDownloader).

The directory it shows then a) hidden and b) depends on your username and windows version so using the %appdata% environment variable is the easiest way to get there.

Hi,

Just tried downloading an album and it works like it should. If you leave the language to english you should enter {Original Name} in that dialog (including the curly brackets.

To translate the user-interface to french:

  1. Press the translate button, choose French (Francce) from the dropdown menu at the top,
  2. Select a string in the list below
  3. Rightclick it and choose Propose All (it will start using google translate)
  4. Click Set langauge
  5. Click Ok

As the translation of the Naming patterns is not always performed well, to correct this:

  • Press the setup button (now called 'Installation') and
  • enter {Nom Original} for the nommage/naming and
  • press Ok.

Then select and Album and Press Download/Telecharge to download.

The blue link underneath this button opens explorer at the folder where the files are downloaded to.

If you right-click and album and select preview/avant-premiere you'll see a web page with thumbnails of the selected album.
